Pastor's Pre-Sermon Bible Study and Discussion
The Rev. Dr. Bill Fisackerly holds a one hour study group on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM in room 109. The purpose is to get a head start on next Sunday's sermon. The class is open to all and doesn't require preparation but you will feel more comfortable if you bring your bible and read the appropriate scripture beforehand. You can determine what scripture to read from last weeks Sunday bulletin, "Next Sunday's Message".
A multi-question handout is used to review the scripture meaning in today's context. Provocative and stimulating discussions are the norm.
Attendees may wish to follow up with a light dinner and fellowship provided by "Food for the Soul" at 5:30 PM in the sanctuary.
Kim's Post-Sermon Bible Study and Discussion
Kim Fisackerly, the pastor's wife, holds a post-sermon bible study Sundays at 11:00 AM in room 201. The sermon scripture is reviewed and a multi-question handout is discussed.
Kim Fisackerly Leading Class
Use Kim's study session to explore the meaning of the sermon. It is open to all, doesn't require preparation and the discussions are always lively and are often influenced by current events. Participants are regularly found continuing the discussions in the parking lot after the session ends.
This class meets on Sundays at 9:30 AM in room 201 for one hour. The class chooses a prepared Bible study course to follow.
Christian Book Review
The Christian Book Review is a popular multi-week study requiring advance registration (so that books can be ordered for all participants>. The sessions are held on Wednesdays at 6:15 PM in the sanctuary (after the light dinner). Instructors vary but you may frequently see Kim Fisackerly or Vic Costello. The subject matter is chosen for it's ability to stimulate conversation and deepen your knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Church or Christianity in today's world.
Check the Sunday bulletin, the "Gulf Breezes Newsletter" or this website (see CONNECT -> CALENDAR) for announcements of new classes.
