“Since singing is so good a thing, I wish all men would learn to sing.” - William Byrd, 1588
"Women and children, too!" - Roy Engler, 2013

Welcome to the Music and Arts section of the GCUMC website!

GREETINGS! THE CHOIR is always seeking new singers from our congregation and the general community. We sing everything from Gabrieli to Gospel. Ages 10 to 100 are welcome! (No kidding!) We do make exceptions for those outside of these age limits! LEARN TO SING, AND HAVE A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT FOR LIFE! THE BETTER TO PRAISE GOD! The choir sings on Sundays alternately at the 8:00 and 11:00 services. Come to rehearsal 6:30 Thursdays in P-203, and share the love!

“They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord.” Isaiah 24 :14

Angela Navarro

ON SUNDAYS alternately at 11:00 and 8:00, when the choir isn't singing, we praise the Lord with solos, small vocal groups, instrumental groups and liturgical dance!

HANDBELL CHOIR rehearses from fall throught spring, and performs at several special worship events. NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME! Requirements: Eyesight good enough to distinguish between a line note and a space note, and the ability to count to twelve! We'll teach you the rest! The same age limits apply! :) The Handbells refearse on Thursdays at 5:00 P.M. in P-203.

"Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." -Ps.150:3-6
