Thanksgiving Day Dinner Activities

Each year Gulf Cove UMC offers a Thanksgiving Dinner to our community. The dinner is free. Last year we served over 600 people. The sit-down dinner is offered from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. Takeout meals and some limited delivery to shut-ins was also handled. Special thanks goes to Don Teague, Charles Hilton & Ralph Calladine who step up to oversee the dinner.

Volunteers are always needed to roast & carve turkey, cut vegetables, deliver meals to those who have requested them, setup and decorate tables, clean tables, make pies, clean pots, wash dishes and the very many other chores that are required to provide this outreach service to our community, to say nothing of getting the church set up again for worship services.

Each year many voluntees step forward not only from our congregation but also from the community, scouts and visitors.
